EARTH QUESTS


Prove Your Worth
Master Shen does not take on just any student, you know. You must prove yourself in a test of skill against another hopeful student. Show no mercy and defeat your opponent to ensure your selection into the Crane School. Master Shen takes a liking to those who show both a talent for above-average techniques and a tendency for excessive violence.

Take What You Want
Your first lesson is to walk into a corner store and find something you want...and just take it. Try to be as nonchalant as you wish, but the buzzers at the door alert the shopkeeper to your attempted theft. You must try to escape before the police arrive, whether that requires fast footwork or a punch to the shopkeeper's face. You must return to Master Shen with the item.

Midnight in the Crane's Garden
Master Shen has asked you to meet him in his lotus garden in the middle of the night. Inappropriate fears aside, you venture out to meet your teacher, only to be attacked by several brutes larger than yourself, each armed with clubs. Fight your way out although you are almost certainly guaranteed a very large beating. The lesson? Trust no one, especially your master.

Hustlin the Hustlers
The nearby town has been attacking your school frequently, demanding that Master Shen and his pupils leave the area. You are instructed to stroll into town and challenge all the warriors inside, while your fellow students attack the townspeople from the sides. Teach these people to never trifle with the Crane School again or much worse will befall their children.

Acceptance into the Inner Circle
Master Shen is pleased with your progress in the Crane School and instructs you in his signature technique, the Dodonpa. You must not fail to learn the ability and displease your master, especially after he placed such confidence in you. Once you have mastered the ability, use it on your closest friend at the school, who is not faring as well as you are.

A Cold Dawn
You awaken, a robe lying on the foot of your bed with a note marked "Crane." Master Shen has allowed you one day's rest before you are to begin the next level of the Crane School's training, and you might never have such a day again.

Crane Strike: This ability allows a sinister energy blast to be created, causing a temporary poison to sink into the opponent's body. This can cause a number of hindrances, the more popular being fatigue. Advanced applications of this Technique have been known to drain ki from fighters, leaving them weakened. (Can only be used against one person at a time)



Teach Them to Fear You
Master Shen has tasked you with spreading the reputation of the Crane School to the nearby villages. Your partner, a strange pig-like creature with butterfly wings named Inoshikacho, will attack the villagers as they harvest their crops and you will only save them for a large reward. Once you have "rescued" all three villages, you are to return to the school.

Fear Leads to Anger
With the villagers successfully robbed, you are approached by Master Shen's younger brother, the world's greatest mercenary. If you are going to be a successful killer, you should learn from the best afterall. Mercenary Tao strikes with the utmost precision and will not tolerate your failings in the slightest. Survive his assault, if you can.

Anger Leads to Hate
As Mercenary Tao sleeps, you creep into his room. Your cracked ribs and injured body are a testament to his superior skills...yet everyone is vulnerable as they sleep. Strike at Mercenary Tao, yet his senses are so attuned he will surely awaken and will not be pleased. Defend yourself with your newly acquired skills.

Hate Leads to Suffering
As expected, your assassination attempt went poorly. Your new wounds are going to take some time to heal. Never one to slack in your training, you meditate in the Crane Gardens, the one peaceful area on the compound. Drown out the sounds of the cranes, the rushing water, and the other sounds of nature and battle with your own inner weakness.

Suffering Leads to Becoming a Hardass
After weeks of beatings from Mercenary Tao, your speed has grown. Your endurance has risen. Your body has grown strong under its constant strain. This is the day you defeat your teacher and demonstrate your mastery of the strength of the Crane School. Unleash your Dodonpa against your instructor when you have beaten him into submission!

Hardasses Never Cry
Master Shen, although a bit disappointed at the loss of his brother, declares you to be his best student. However, two great powers may never dwell in the Crane School. Master Shen lunges at you, dagger-in-hand. Betrayal and lies are the way of the Crane, and you should have expected his treachery. Duel against your master and thwart his attempt to prove your weakness once and for all: only then can you earn his true respect.

Impress the Master
Master Roshi has agreed to take a break in his permanent vacation of a lifestyle in order to train you into a proper fighter...but first you need to get him some company! The Master prefers slender, beautiful women to stay at his house while he trains new pupils, and it is your job to find one that will agree, however very few girls would up and move at such an offer. Search high and low for the perfect girl for Master Roshi and return with her.

Sink or Swim
As a new recruit in the Turtle School, your first task is to swim to the mainland with a one hundred pound turtle shell on your back. If the heavy shell and the rough, frigid waves weren't enough, the twenty mile distance is teeming with hungry sharks. Better swim fast if you want to make it to the other side in one piece.

Warning: Construction Zone
Now that you've arrived on the beach, you see Master Roshi at a nearby construction site. The area needs to be cleared off before construction can begin, and he volunteers you for the job. No tools allowed though, so you should get to work quickly. Clearing the entire site by hand should toughen you up.

Special Delivery
After that grueling exercise in random plowing, Roshi has one more surprise for you. You are to deliver twenty fresh bottles of milk to the townspeople up and down the mountain on the peninsula, and you must complete your deliveries before the milk gets warm. Be careful not to spill a drop as you jog, run, and scramble up and down the twisty mountain road to deliver all the milk just in time for breakfast.

The Turtle Destruction Wave
You have passed the initial training of the Turtle Hermit and as a reward, Master Roshi shall teach you his signature technique: the Kamehameha Wave! You must learn the ability before the sun sets on the tiny island, and it is already evening. Fire a powerful wave across the sea and carve through the waves!

The Real Training Begins
Now that you have proven yourself a true student of the Turtle School, Master Roshi presents you with a gift: an orange gi with the kanji for turtle across the back. With the official garb of the Turtle School, you really feel as if you belong here. Sleep well tonight because tomorrow, Master Roshi has promised to escalate your training.

The user dashes up ahead of the opponent and fires a Kamehameha Wave, blasting the opponent into the ground. Requires the "Successful?" dice.

Introspective Voyage
Master Roshi awakes you earlier than usual and the two of you hop into the boat he uses to travel to the mainland for supplies. Roshi asks about your life before coming to see him and your aspirations once your training is done. Appearing more as a father figure than a silly master for once, you open up to your Master about your life.

A Message from an Old Friend
As you arrive on the mainland, an old friend runs up to Master Roshi. He claims that one of Roshi's old students has lost his home as his village on top of Pan Fry Mountain has been set ablaze by a fire demon. Roshi turns to you and states that the role of any martial artist is to assist those who cannot defend themselves. You set off with your Master to Pan Fry Mountain.

Pan Fry Mountain
With every step toward the Mountain, you feel the air become dryer and hotter. Your Master seems to remain unaffected yet you are dripping with sweat. When you reach the top of Pan Fry Mountain, small fire spirits leap out and assail you. Defend your master and yourself against the intense heat!

The Fires of the Mountain
Meeting up with Roshi's old student, all three of you stride into the den of the fire spirit, the charred remains of the village elder's home. The spirit laughs at your attempt to challenge it's rule and attacks you with a burning fury. Your master steps back, allowing you to prove your strength.

Sizzling Embers
The spirit throws you through the wall with a blast of fire and stands over you, prepared to claim another singed victim. Suddenly, Master Roshi lunges at the spirit and strikes it hard on its cheek, unaffected by the spirit's heat. Your Master's body has radically changed from a moment ago. His muscles overshadow anything you've ever seen and his strength has increased several-fold.

You and your master combine your strength to take down the violent spirit. Make use of your power and your master's technique to fire a Kamehameha and douse the evil flame!

Info: Civilians of earth have been terrorized by a gang of bandits, attacking randomized cities of earth, leaving non left alive... Very ruthless indeed, stop them or join them, it's up to you.
